The homologation team maintains a comprehensive library of worldwide vehicle legislation and related automotive standards. The team also monitors future developments in vehicle legislation around the world.
The homologation knowledge and expertise covers all aspects of legislation affecting vehicle design. We have practical experience in the application of the full remit of vehicle regulations, from the latest European emissions and on-board diagnostics (OBD) requirements to the U.S. requirements on "smart" airbags.
The team provides legislative input at all phases in the design and development process, including input at the styling and packaging phases. This approach ensures that legislative compliance is fully integrated into the programme at the earliest possible stage and is continually monitored throughout the programme.

CONTECHS & MI has experience and expertise in the European approval procedures at component, system, and whole-vehicle levels. This allows CONTECHS to take on full homologation responsibility for complete programmes, if required.
Over time, CONTECHS has built up close working relationships with a number of different European test and approval authorities, and we maintain regular communication and liaison. However, CONTECHS is happy to work with whichever authority its client specifies.
In addition to the certification schemes applicable to high volume models, Contacts' homologation team also has experience in developing compliance strategies for vehicles produced in much lower volumes. CONTECHS can advise and assist with the small series and single vehicle approval schemes applicable to low volume production models, and with the multi-stage approval schemes applicable to partially completed vehicles and to converted vehicles.
