Position:                             Infotainment - Telephone Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This role is for a telephone engineer for the Bentley Continental range of vehicles, and for the development/support of the next telephone systems to be introduced on these vehicles.

Specific deliverables during this time period include the following:-

• B Release of Telephone ECU’s for Eu, USA, China & Japan markets.
• Ensure Part delivery is maintained for prototype builds and engineering requirements.
• Day to day development of the system including swift issue closure and fast response to queries including keeping Senior Engineer up to date with project status.
• Co-ordinate BY62x Phone system functionality testing & maintain product validation database.
• Ensure all Environmental testing is completed and reports in place VW80101, Single ECU testing etc.
• Support VW with telephone development reporting issues, participation on test drives (in EU), and Organise test/approval drives in USA, China & Japan as required.
• Preparation to sign off system for Eu/USA/China/Japan.
• Support manufacturing engineering with parts and process for telephone system.
• Co-ordinate interoperability testing with supplier to ensure consistency of data on Bentley corporate website.
• Maintain relationship with partners: RIM, Samsung, Sony Ericsson & Vertu.
