Coachbuilder - Own Tools Required!

Duration: 6 Months
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible to: Zone Manager Engineering Workshop
SCOPE:
To support the Engineering Workshop to deliver the highest standard of commitment and service to meet the coachbuilding expectations and requirements of the Engineering work requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and prepare prototype / development vehicles interior and external trim to support Engineering projects.
Carry out fault finding, rectification, remedial and enhancement coachbuilding work in conjunction with Engineering project teams requests.
Ensure motor cars function, perform and are prepared to the highest standard within tight time frames.
Support offsite Engineering events and activities as required.
Ensure workplace is safe, clean and tidy aware of all Heath & Safety and environment issues.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Broad based product range knowledge and experience.
Computer literate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Time served coachbuilder or equivalent.
Good Whole Vehicle knowledge is preferred.
Clean current driving licence.
Company product driving permit.
PERSONAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
Excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated.
Flexible (able to work extra hours / shifts as and when required).
Prepared to work off site / overseas if required and at short notice.
Team player.
Ability to understand Engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to take on new technology.
Good Health & Safety and Environmental awareness.
