The Steve Olney Memorial Award is an annual design competition for final year undergraduates at the Coventry University School of Art and Design, celebrating outstanding achievement.
For the first time, Contech’s well-attended award ceremony is being integrated within the University’s annual ‘Industry Night’, which is due to take place on 17th May 2018
The University’s end-of-academic-year event aims to celebrate the talent and achievements of students, as well as exploring how the latest generation of graduates will help to shape the future, making it the perfect place to complete final judging for the 2018 Contechs Steve Olney Award.
As well as attendees from both the University and Contechs, there will be representatives from the automotive and marine industries, offering undergraduate nominees the opportunity to network among influential guests and fellow candidates.
Whilst celebrating the talent and achievements of students and exploring how the latest generation of graduates will help to shape the future, the award will be presented to a worthy winner.
Contech’s’ Managing Director, Peter Jarvis, said: “This annual recognition of technical excellence is always something we really look forward to. As well as giving us and other key companies within the automotive industry access to the new generation of designers and engineers, the event is great experience for the graduates, as they are immersed in competition and push the boundaries of technical design”.
