Zoe’s Place, a charity specialising in compassionate care for children with life-altering and life-threatening illnesses, holds an annual fundraising ball, which is always well supported by leading automotive engineering company Contechs, as well as other local businesses and community figures.
We are pleased to announce that the 2018 event, which is following a ‘Kings and Queens’ theme, has completely sold out. Over 400 people will be attending the event on 18th May, at Coombe Abbey.
Contech’s’ Managing Director, Peter Jarvis, who is also Chairman of the Zoe’s Place Business Group, works throughout the year to support the charity in various ways. He says: “We are thrilled to hear that this year’s event is scheduled to be the biggest yet and I am hopeful that we’ll be able to break the fundraising record too for this well deserving charity”.
“To enable the hospice to stay open 24-hours per day, 365 days a year, the charity faces a continual problem of raising sufficient funds – they have to subsidise baseline nursing and ancillary staff, which is no easy task, and why this annual event is so important. It’s great to see local businesses come together to raise money – as the only type of facility of its kind in the Midlands, myself and Contechs are continually proud to support and fundraise for this wonderful charity where we can”.
